On May 29, 2025, Geothermal Ukraine successfully hosted its first webinar under the GEOSYN project titled “Geothermal Energy and Its Role for Communities in Ukraine”. The event marked an important step toward raising awareness of geothermal energy and exploring its potential for the sustainable development of communities across Ukraine.
The main objective of the webinar was to increase public understanding of geothermal energy, highlight its environmental and economic benefits, and discuss how geothermal heating and cooling systems influence public perception and acceptance, particularly in the context of industrial applications.
The online event brought together nearly 34 participants, including energy experts, researchers, and community representatives.
The program opened with a welcome speech and the presentation of a survey conducted within the GEOSYN project to assess public perception and the social impact of geothermal heating and cooling systems.
