On May 22, 2025, Taras Popadynets participated in the XХVІ Іnternational Scientific and Practical Online Conference “Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency of the XXI Century”. The event brought together researchers, representatives of business and governmental agencies, educational institutions, investors and foreign partners to discuss pressing issues in the development of sustainable energy.
As part of the conference, the Geothermal Ukraine presented the EU-funded GEOSYN project (ID: 101172812) – Geothermal Synergy: enhancing industrial energy efficiency through steam high-temperature heat pumps and heat-powered cooling systems with operational flexibility and public trust, funded under the HORIZON EUROPE program.
The project focuses on innovative approaches to integrating geothermal energy into industrial processes. In his presentation, Taras outlined the project’s goals, key technological solutions, and expected outcomes, emphasizing its significance for enhancing energy efficiency in Ukrainian industry and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Participation in the conference marked an important step in promoting the GEOSYN project within the scientific community and facilitated the establishment of new professional connections in the field of geothermal energy.
